In my Bible reading the other day, I was stopped by the follwing passage: "Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord." (Leviticus 26:2)

I know what this means contextually — The actual Sabbath day (and also the Sabbath year) and the tabernacle. However, I believe God wants me to reflect and remember on my life. He wants me to reflect on what my life could have been like had I been obedient in the areas of rest and in taking care of my body/mind (his temple) and, therefore, learn from my past. Then, he wants me remember (and apply his lessons) that it is important for me to rest (not just a day, but a lifestyle of peacefulness) and take care of the temple of the Holy Spirit.
